Moderato Aperitivo Al Rabarbaro

 

A red bitter aperitif that is deeply rooted in Italian tradition and inspired by Nordic botanicals.

 

We teamed up with the Italian distillery Strada Ferrata to create this traditional Italian red bitter aperitif. Together we chose the influence of nordic botanicals, including Rosehip, Elderflower and Wormwood. Distilled in Gothenburg using only the highest quality ingredients and bottled by hand. Natural Colour without additives.

 

Ingredients

Rhubarb root, red hibiscus flower, rosehip peel, quassia amara, elderflower, bergamot peel, bitter orange peel, sweet orange peel, angelica root, orris root, marshmallow root, wormwood, mugwort, nutmeg, bay leaf, clove.

Tasting notes

A red bitter aperitif that is both deeply rooted in tradition and inspired by Nordic botanicals. Moderato Aperitivo al Rabarbaro is a balanced blend of rosehip peel, elderflower, and wormwood, creating a floral, earthy, zesty, and spicy aroma. A complex, bittersweet flavour that is earthy, citrusy, and deep. The full-bodied and tannic mouthfeel finishes with a long-lasting aftertaste that lingers on your palate.

  • Flavour: Earthy, citrusy, deep and bittersweet.
  • Feel: Full-bodied, tannic with a long finish.

 

Recommended pour – Americano

The Americano is a classic cocktail that combines the bitter notes of Moderato with the sweetness of Vermouth and a touch of effervescence from the tonic. It is a refreshing and relatively low-alcohol cocktail that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or on any occasion.

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cl Moderato
  • 3 cl sweet Vermouth
  • A splash of tonic
  • Orange peel, for garnish

 

Instructions

  • Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes
  • Add the Moderato and sweet Vermouth to the glass
  • Stir gently to mix the ingredients.
  • Top it off with a splash of tonic.
  • Garnish with an orange peel twist.
  • Serve and enjoy!
